Vista Home Premium HD space

Hi all,

I have a new Toshiba notebook that came preinstalled with Vista Home Premium.
I have removed/uninstalled ALL the junk that came on the PC so the only
things on it now are the OS and some Toshiba stuff related to the speech
system.

I have even set the space for System restore down to only 2.5GB from 5GB.
I have cleaned all that I can off the PC but can not get the HDD space used
down to less than 12GB. I can't believe that Vista takes up THAT much room?
Even with the Toshiba pgms on it. Have emptied the recycle bin and did disk
cleanup many times.

Does anyone have any ideas of what I might be missing getting rid of??
I am trying to get the HDD space used as low as I can go in order to make a
first basic image for backup purposes (using Acronis True Image). Then I
will start installing applications. I have even deleted all the MS installed
AVirus and other junk!!

Thanks a bunch for your help!!

Cindy
