| | Reversing System Restore in Vista Hi, I am using Vista and my computer detected a problem and automatically went back to a very early restore point that I didnt want it to go to. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to reverse that restore because there was a program that I cannot get anymore installed then. Please help!! Im realllly hoping that this can be restored! Thank you! |

You have to manually pick an older restore point. If this actually happened the way you suggest, then you probably need to reinstall Vista. Or do a "repair install". Repair Install For Vista Do you see any other restore points listed? Copy/paste "rstrui.exe" into Start Search, press enter. Allow any nag prompts that pop up. You'll see "Recommended restore" already checked. Below that is, "Choose a different restore point". Check that and click "Next". What's listed there? -Michael |
