Hi all,

I'm running several flavours of vista, and I'm only really having a problem with the x64 Ultimate install. This box attaches to my domain at home and generally works well.

However, over time it takes longer and longer to populate an explorer window. Any exploerer window, File open, or file save as box can take over a minute to populate. Then it's fine. Opening a new one will also take over a minute.

If I reboot, explorer returns to normal for up to a half hour. Everything thing else with the box is working wonderfully, with the exception of Internet Explorer.

I has a funny quirk -- If I type Address Search - Find Email and Addresses @ Address.com and enter it does nothing for over a minute. If I type Address Search - Find Email and Addresses @ Address.com and enter, the page loads immediately.

This is sometimes corrected, briefly, by restarting. Not always though.

I don't know if the problems are related or not. The system is otherwise performing well & stable.

None of the other Vista installs are having any issues at all. (I'm also running Home Premium, Business, and Enterprise. All of which are 32bit.)

Any ideas? I've been searching for a while on this one with no joy.

Interesting... my example addresses were resolved into something unintended...

The example was supposed to be:

www dot any_address dot com -> internet explorer sits and ponders for at least a minute and may not load the page.

http:// www dot any_address dot com -> IE loads the page without delay.
