    "freezes all the time"
That is indicative of a hardware or driver problem. problem.
Since your computer is only 3 months old, contact the computer
    manufacturer for support.

You may need the latest Windows Vista drivers for your hardware.
Do not assume the new computer shipped with the latest drivers.

    Have you added anything?
If so, did you verify Windows Vista compatibility with the
    manufacturer?

Here we go with the old IBM stance: it must be the other guy; our stuff is
    great.

Vista needs to be compatible or fix it.

Typical answer from a critic who reads only what supports your view.
It seems you missed the 2nd sentence in my post.
The new computer probably came with Windows Vista which makes any and
    all problems the OEMs.
That is not to blame the "other guy" as you so feebly suggest.
It is to point where the best resolution of the problem lies, the
    computer manufacturer.
A new computer should not act that way and the OP should contact the
    manufacturer for support.
The computer manufacturer, and not Microsoft nor the specific
component manufacturers for that matter, is responsible that all the
included hardware and software perform together.
But you are free to ignore that fact.

"it must be the other guy"
Just who is the other guy you refer?
Freezing is not typical and usually indicates a hardware problem.

If the incompatibilities can not be resolved, simply return Windows.
    Easy with an OEM computer.
Easy with retail Windows purchased in North America within 45 days.

    JJ-

I really do not want to get into a debate. Nor, quote "facts" without
supporting evidence. As an IBM SE in a former life, I understand taking a
    stand with what you sell.

I just WANT my computer to run accurately, fast and well.

All of my drivers are up to date, I check weekly or more often. The
"Problems resolution" function is up to 150 issues that do not have a
    resolution yet. I check weekly.

I go to hardware manufacturers' sites where drivers show up before the OEM
    distributes them.

When programs go to NOT RESPONDING when they open, then recover, there is a
    coding or memory useage problem.
