| | Partition Magic or other Partition Software Good day everyone, I have just started using Vista Ultimate. In the past I have used Partition Magic for various reasons. However, I have found out this software does not work with Vista. I cannot even use the boot disks to do service to the HD. Does anyone know of a software that works similar to Partition Magic under Vista? I need to be able to create partitions etc. Right now I have a fouled up install of Vista. I want to create another partition in front of this one and set it active to install a new copy. But, I do not want to lose any documents I may have on the fouled partition Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Marcus |

| | RE: Partition Magic or other Partition Software I just partitioned a new hard drive using a standard Vista tool. Just look up "partition" in Help and go to the "Create a partition" item. You might just find that this will do your job. -- Walt |

| | Re: Partition Magic or other Partition Software I would like to have more control over my partitions. Like Partition Magic, one can size, resize, create, convert primary and logical, actually look at what files are on a partition, and many other great features. I did already create a D Drive using the toll you refer to. But now with a questionable install on C drive, I would like to leave tat partition there, but put a new C drive in front of that partition for a new install. Thanks for the help though.
