| Guest | Re: disk check Hi, Open an elevated command prompt, run "chkntfs /d" from the C:\> prompt. To open an elevated command prompt, click start and type CMD into the search box. Right click the cmd.exe that appears in the start menu and choose 'run as administrator'. Click 'continue' at the UAC prompt.
