brand new 4gb dell veeery slow-help

we had gotten a 4 gb,360 dell desktop for a present and it has vita home
prem. I have a laptop with xp and less then a gig and it beats the dell
everytime.the new one is loaded with everything including wireless(its a
desktop)but it is unbearable it is that slow.I was going to delete vista and
reload xp but that seems to defeat the idea of buying all the gigs and
everything.Please help me...what do I do

Get rid of the Mcafee or Norton as well as any other crapware that came on
the computer like dell tools, advisor or what ever it is called...see if you
have programs starting that you don't need or want like Yahoo jukebox...then
report back.

hey,

if you have any anti-virus that could be the problem or you could see whats
taking so slow by clicking on start and typing in msconfig then clicking on
the start-up tab to disable any programs that you dont need to use at start
up.#
