| | Unable to set restore point I am completely unable to set a restore point in Vista and it is not automatically setting them either. As as result, update installations are failing. Is my only hope to restore my computer to factory "new" and start all over with program installations etc? -- Lindsay |

| | Re: Unable to set restore point Another thing to try, In the disk cleanup after the next window opens, click the other options tab and select delete all but the last restore point. Then reboot. This will delete all system restore points and reset System Restore. Also check to make sure that the "Volume Shadow Copy" service is set to "Manual". System Restore Shawn |
