| Guest | System Freezes: minimizing windows I have just bought a new laptop Gateway T-1625 AMD Turion(tm) 64 x2 Mobile Teconology TL-60, 2GB RAM 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium. My problem is that when I minimize windows (only minimizing pressing the minimize button, not closing, or maximizing), the whole system freezes. When pressing Ctrl +Alt+Del I can access the page that comes (for chose options like: lock the computer, change password, Task manager...), however when I click on the task manager to try to close the software that might brought up the problem, it freezes again. I was working with Outlook 2007 when it first happened, I had the problem several times, and so I had to restart the computer several times. Later, I accessed the Office suite in the Safe Mode, and nothing happened. Back in the normal mode, worked for about one hour before start any Office Software, and the problem only came back after I launched the Outlook or Word. I reinstalled the suite and the problem happened again while I was intalling the suite. I know there is someting with the hardware, but I wonder if there is another way to fix this without returning the computer. I preffer upgrade hardwares than pay reskinking fees. Thank you |
