Photoshop CS2 slow to start "not responding" message

I recently bought a new computer with Vista, installed Adobe CS2 &
reactivated it on the new computer. Photoshop works, but takes forever to
start in Vista. For about 5 minutes I see a "not responding" message but it
eventually does start up and then works fine. In XP it took about 30-45
seconds to get to the same point. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution
    to this problem?

Thanks. I already tried the knowledge base for Vista and Adobe and didn't
    find anything relating to CS2.
