The problem I had with my brand new Dell Inspiron 1720 (Feb 08) was with the
anti-virus software that I chose when ordering the laptop - PC-cillan
Internet Suite 14. As soon as I uninstalled that software it didn't give me
any more hibernation or shut-down issues. Trying to get Dell to reimburse
me for the software that didn't work out of the box.
