Re: shuting down

The power button on the start menu does not shut the computer down, it puts
the computer into sleep (standby/hibernate hybrid). Vista also may have
changed the default for the power button on the computer, as well. Is this
the issue?

Re: shuting down

i saw on my vista(bata2) a possibility to shut the computer totally down. It
has also worked, but after a certain time (+/- 1 month). it stopt with
working.
I am very happy that you toke the time to respond but i guess that the
reason is not this.

Re: shuting down

I'll take another try at it.

Is there the possibility that either an open application or a hardware
driver is not closing properly and causing the system to "hang" at shut
down?
