Vista - Computer Freezes

I'm installing Vista for a friend, and I keep having this thing that says
"Preparing to install Office XP". This didn't occur in XP MCE, but started
after the installation of Vista. AFIAK, Office XP is installed and works
fine in Vista now. Every time it comes up, I can hit cancel, to which it
comes up again, and I cancel, but the third time I cancel, it seems to stop.
Then, usually when I click on a web link, (but sometimes it happens randomly)
IE freezes up for about a minute, and then the process starts over again.

(Sorry, IDK if this is the right forum or not, but I was hoping it was)
