vista ultimate using windows standard style

My operating sytem is vista ultimate. I like to use windows standard in
order to just operate most of the time. However when i go to pages i have
visted while running aero or vista basici get images not showing up with red
x's in teh middle of them. How do i enable images to be visible in windows
standard operating on vista ultimate pc?
