Unexpected Shutdown

How do I fix this problem. My new Dell Inspiron 531S shuts down unexpectedly
several times a day. When I follow the Microsoft link to "correct this
problem" Microsoft wants me to download an update, but then says the update

RE: Unexpected Shutdown

This is John at Dell headquarters.

From the information you've provided, it looks like you're getting a
0x0000009F error. Is the update you're being asked to download and install
the same as the one in the following KB article?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929762

Do you have any peripherals connected to this machine?

RE: Unexpected Shutdown

John,

I have same problem. Had the system about a month. Been out of town so
have not called Dell yet. I have a Samsung ml 1740 printer attached to
computer. The 929762 message says not for this computer. The computer
hibernates after you leave for a couple of hours. When you wake it up, get
the blue error screen and then restarts with the "normal start" highlighted.
