Vista - appearance, windows magnifier, onscreen keyboard

I am no computer expert. My wife has the windows magnifier and on screen
keyboard turing on at startup. How do I turn these off? Also she has
altered the appearance of my text. How do I restore this to original
settings without losing any files?

Hi Dave,

These features are found in the 'Ease of Access Center'. Click on the start
orb and type 'ease of access center' into the search box and press enter.
Alternatively, press the Windows logo key + U. This brings up the 'Ease of
Access Center', and all the things that you need to deal with are grouped in
the bottom half of the screen under 'Explore all settings'. Dealing with your
questions in order.
Firstly, the magnifier. This is found by clicking on 'Make the computer
easier to see'. On this dialogue page, under the heading 'Make things on the
screen larger', clear the checkbox next to 'Turn on Magnifier'. Click 'Save'
to return to the main window. If there is a tab on the taskbar named
'Magnifier', close it.
Secondly, the on screen keyboard. Click on 'Use the computer without a mouse
or keyboard'. On this dialogue page, under the heading 'Type using a pointing
device', clear the checkbox next to 'Use On-Screen Keyboard'. Again, click
'Save' to return to the main window. If the 'On-Screen Keyboard' is
displayed, simply close it.
Thirdly, your text appearance. I am assuming that your wife has enabled
'High Contrast'. If so, you can toggle this by the following key combination:
'left ALT + left Shift + PrtScrn'. Each time you use this combination, the
state changes from on to off and vice-versa. If you would rather disable this
altogether, click on 'Make the computer easier to see'. On this dialogue
page, under the heading 'High Contrast', clear the checkbox next to 'Turn on
or off High Contrast when...'. Make sure that you have turned 'High Contrast'
off using the shortcut before selecting this option. Click 'Save' to return
to the main window.
Finally, close the 'Ease of Access Center'.
