| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Power meter icon The Power icon will only be available (not grayed out) if your laptop is on battery power, or computer is plugged into a backup power UPS box. If this is true, then check in Method One for how to turn it back on as Joe's post suggested. Notification Area - System Icons Shawn |

| | Re: Power meter icon Thanks Joe, that did the trick. I looked at that several times and just overlooked it. Thanks again. | | Re: Power meter icon Since yesterday I noticed I have no power icon in the notification area -- no AC power or battery. I followed your directions also, .Joe, but after clicking on Properties, I see no "power box". I'm using Win XP (SP3) on HP Compaq Presario laptop. ~Grev ".Joe" wrote: Quote: > > A330nrt;653222 Wrote: Quote: > > After installing Vista SP1 today, my power meter icon is gone from the > > notification area. | | Re: Power meter icon I just want to add that my power icon is back! In another thread "system tray notification icons missing and disable", the poster Ricardo Montabone suggested "just log out and log back in". I did; and it worked. ~Grev "Grev" wrote: Quote: > Since yesterday I noticed I have no power icon in the notification area -- no > AC power or battery.
