This may be impossible, but I thought I'd ask.

I have a program, DU Meter, which is a tray icon program that due to its
nature (bandwidth measurement) will never have the same tooltip information
twice--or almost never, anyway. Unfortunately, Vista (or XP for that matter)
relies upon that tooltip information to determine how to act upon any of the
"Show," "Hide," "Hide when inactive" settings you made previously in
Customize Notification Icons.

So whenever I boot, DU Meter will always be visible on the tray, even though
I've previously set it to "Hide," and I have to go in and Hide it manually.

Bottom line: Is there a way to tell Vista to always hide a given icon
regardless of the tooltip data?
