How to remove Junk Files in the disks ?

I was using Auslogics Disk Defrag, and I was told about "junk files" in the disks that I should scan and remove. When I click the link , it was trying to sell me the software. I'm not ready to buy yet. Any way to remove the junk files without spending money ? It does not identify the junk files and the locations, so I don't know how to look them up. Thank you.

I do have Ccleaner and I used it 15 min. ago. Then I did the defrag with Auslogics again, and I still have the same # of junk files in the disks. So, CCleaner didn't cut the mustard. Anyone with other options?Thank you.

Re: How to remove Junk Files in the disks ?

There is a little unknown command with disk cleaner to enable it to remove a lot more old/junk files than usual, just create a shortcut using this command.

%SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535

Thank you or your reply. I have a problem; I don't know how to do what you told me to. I'm just a beginner. Thank you.

Just hold the winkey + R (windows logo key) until you see this screen

Then copy/paste the command and click run
%SystemRoot%\System32\Cmd.exe /c Cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & Cleanmgr /sagerun:65535

Free Wise Disk Cleaner here :

http://www.wisecleaner.com/download.html

The more boxes you check to look for the fewer of those type files you
will have...

I use CCleaner, Wise Cleaner and Windows Disk Cleanup.

Windows Disk Cleanup - Start - Accessories - System Tools

Thank you for the quick response.Unfortunately it didn't work. Error message : "Windows cannot find C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe \c Make sure you type the name correctly, then try again." Believe me ,I was extremely careful in typing the command.
Do the spacing and capital letters have something to do with that error ?
Oh, what about the "\" and "/" ?

Crap Cleaner is the shiznit. Especially when you use it with Auslogic's registry Defrag. Crap Cleaner gets rid of all those junk files, cleans the registry and then registry defrag removes the spaces in the registry caused by crap cleaner deleting old or bad keys.
