My E : drive is full

System showed that my E: drive ( DVD RW ) is full. The pie chart is blue. There is no options to disk clean or to compress like the OS C: and local D: drives. Can I or should I do anything about it ? Thank you.

Is there data filling the disk?

If you want to use it for data, is there an option to format it, since it is RW?

I can't answer your questions. I self-taught myself only 5 months ago. My OS is home premium 32 bit ( no SP1 - don't trust it ). You will have to lead me step by step to get the answer you want. Thank you.

Since it is a DVD RW, you could format it, as Joe posted, or manually delete the files you do not want to save space. If you do not want to lose what is on the DVD, then I would just use another one.

Shawn, like I said to Joe, I don't know how to format it or delete the files that are on the E drive. I know how to format a disk, but you're asking me to format a drive, right? I deleted a lot of programs/folders from the C drive, but how do I do that on E drive?

Shawn, like I said to Joe, I don't know how to format it or delete the files that are on the E drive.
    OK David,

It's not hard to do. Place the DVD RW in the drive and click open when AutoPlay pops up for the DVD. If it does not, then open the Start menu and click on the "Computer" button on the right dark side of the Start menu.

To format the DVD RW, right click on the E: drive and click Format and confirm the action.

To manually delete files on the DVD RW that you do not want, click on the E: drive to open it. Next, right click on any file or folder you do not want and click "Delete". Just confirm the action and it will be gone. Repeat until you have enough space to add what you wanted.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

No, NO, I'm sorry. I must have misled you. I don't mean the DVD disk. I mean the E drive itself. I opened the Computer, click DVD RW DRIVE E: , click Properties. The window opened and showed me that there are no more space in the drive. Pie chart is all blue.
That's what I meant. Now what should I do, please ?
Where did that smiling face come from?? I didn't do it.

Oh, Ok David. This is normal when there is no DVD in the drive. You get a solid blue pie chart because there is no space available without a DVD in the E: drive, that's all.
