Backup Partition needs deleting

I have a partition on my harddrive which is inaccessible because its for the recovery and a long time ago i backed up but now i want to delete that backup but it isnt accessible so i was wondering if theres a way of getting into it and deleting the backup with corrupting the recovery

I believe that you will find the name of the D: Partition to be "Recovery."
A back up copy of that partition will be of no value to your. That partition
contains files that should be written to DVDs (up to 6) or CDs (up to 18)
that are to be used in case of restoring your system to the original factory
condition after a hard drive failure. The manufacturers used to include the
disks in the package when shipped. Some manufacturers only allow one copy of
disks to be burned.
