Is it possible to view thumbnails in Windows Explorer in folder type "All Items"?

I have set all of my folders to "All Items" type, but can only see
thumbnails now in a particular folder if I switch it back to folder
type Pictures and Videos. Is it impossible to see thumbnails in the
"All Items" folder type? If so, that is a shame.

Hi yousaybeus,

You should not have a problem doing so. Check to make sure that the icon size is at least set to medium to see them. Also check to make sure that thumbnails is turned on. This tutorial may help you out.

Open windows Explorer>Organise>Layout>Menu Bar

You shoukd now have the old "file, edit, view, etc"at the top.
Open what you want>View>Thumbnails.

Problem is, I don't have "thumbnails" as a possibility - only icons of
various sizes, list, details, and tiles - unless I switch folder
types.

When you click Views move the slider up and magically your Thumbnails will
appear :>)
