Vista - I cannot install Vista Sp1

I have downloaded the SP1 standalone installer and I try installing it. I
always get the message Window's SP1 cannot be installed on your computer
because the language of Windows Vista wyou have installed is not supported or
you have installed a language pack that is not supported. Windows SP1 can
only be installed computers with english french etc... I am currently using
English (obviously by this typing), but why won't it install... BTW, it
doesn't show up in update either. Would another language I installed affect
this?

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows Update and is
not offered by Automatic Updates:

I ran into the same problem. In addition to the original English version I
installed the Dutch and French language packs, causing the same error message
that you got. Uninstalling the Dutch language pack, which is not yet
supported by SP1, did the trick and SP1 installed flawlessly.
