| | Vista won't boot - ataport.sys missing Had a problem with Vista the other day where it would not boot and reported that ataport.sys was missing. I tried a repair installation but this didn't work so a clean install was performed. Can anybody explain how this file has suddenly disappeared? Also is there a way I can access the HD from a DOS disk with Vista so that I coould insert missing files in future? Thanks, Andy |
