| | error message in Vista Since recently "restoring to an earlier date" my Toshiba laptop, almost every time I try to open or close a program I get the message "Windows Explorer is not responding. Do you wish to (1) Restart the program. (2) Stop the progran. (3) Wait for the program to respond. This even happens when I click on the Start button. It is so frustrating and time consuming. I have defragged and compacted files, got rid of temp files and run a check for spyware. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can correct it? |

" Since recently 'restoring to an earlier date' ". Would you explain what problem(s) you had that caused you to do a system restore ? It might be related. Are you doing windows update manually or automatically ? Either case, go have a look at the windows update, in case there are some waiting to be installed, especially if there is one for Windows Explorer. |
