Help. I shut down my laptop. When I turned it back on the desktop is in all
wingdings and symbols. Everything I go to is in wingdings and symbols,
including word documents. How do I undo this? What is wrong with it?

If you post in that manner, it's going to be Negative. What is "wingdings" ? What kind of Symbols ??? You need someone to help, you have to "draw a picture" so we understand your problem(s). We are more than willing to help, but you have to be serious. OK ?

he means the font, "wingdings".

I'm not sure how this sounded negative, but didn't mean it that way. What I
mean by wingdings is that instead of normal letters I get a whole bunch of
symbols. Every letter on my screen comes up as some type of symbol. Not
sure why. Could it be a virus? I can't do anything to it because I can't
understand the words on the screen that are now symbols. Thank you for your
help.

I sincerely apologize for my outburst. It's totally uncalled for.
Have you tried to do a system restore ? Go back to the day you Know it was a "good "day, and chooose that as your restore point. If you can't do system restore in normal mode, do it in Safe Mode, then see how it is in normal mode.
