| Vista Home Premium 32bit sp1 | Slow startup after login screen Hi, I run a Pavilion dv9530eb since september and I've always had a slow startup after the loginscreen & entering password. Everyone I know with a vista home premium can startup faster then me, but its still liveable (it doens't take ages, but long enough to make me wonder). The only thing I can do is to gaze at a black screen untill it my desktop appears. I'm capable of crtl-shift-esc 'ing to show task manager and it shows little activity (i can't show processes of all users). ![]() edit: i may have found the cause, i found this @ Problemreporting: Beschrijving Service CyberLink Background Capture Service (CBCS) doesn't react when starting. Step 8 in this tutorial will show you how, plus the other options will help improve the performance more too. Speed Up the Performance of Vista Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit sp1 | Re: Slow startup after login screen @ brink: thanks for replying, but it seems that it was the service mentioned above causing the delay. I found out that it is used by hp for additional media-options and from reason there are no driversolutions (woohoo for custumorsupport). Setting the service startuptype to disabled does the trick. thanks again |
