| | Live Messenger video call and CPU usage Why does CPU usage shoots up to 80 to 100% when using the webcam in live messenger 8.5, making it difficult to open other applications such as explorer or wmp. I've doubled the RAM to 2G and am using 2G ready-boost, but it doesnt seem to have improved. It used to run at 40-60% on XP. Any suggestions?? |

| | RE: Live Messenger video call and CPU usage Just found out that the issue of high CPU usage is related to the webcam's microphone - the CPU usage went down drastically after i disabled the mike (through 'sound, recording devices'). |
