| Windows doesn't allow me to use my full RAM. Since I first startet it my Windows Vista Home Premium has problems with sharing my RAM with more than one process. If I just open one application like 3d max, I can use my full 2GB of RAM. But if I start an internet explorer, a media player and some folders totally using 1GB of RAM, the context menus don't show completely or not at all, folders don't open with the explorer but some other program (mainly my media player). I tried everything, but I just can't resolve that problem. I hope here someone can finally help me. Thanks a lot! |

"Reliability and Performance" etc in your "everything" endevours? Might be wiser to outline exactly what you have done, what kind of system you are running etc so that participants have a clearer understanding of your situation. :-) | ||||||||||||

| Re: Windows doesn't allow me to use my full RAM. Thanks for your answer I tried every windows tool i could find but it still isn't better. Since I had this problem from the day I first started the notebook I don't think it's something I have done. Some information about my laptop: Acer Aspire 5720Z Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2310 1.46GHz Memory(RAM): 2038MB System type: 32 bit HDD: 120GB (90GB used) "propman" wrote:

| Re: Windows doesn't allow me to use my full RAM. Is the media player you mention below the same as the default player in IE configuration....if so, have you tried disabling it in IE and/or configuring IE with another default media player? Thomas R. wrote:
