| SP1 breaks System Restore? I would urge you all to check and see if system restore is correctly configured. I installed SP1 some weeks ago and have just discovered that SR was set to monitor a C drive which was listed as missing. Another C drive was listed as 'system' - this (correct) drive was not set to monitor. I may be wrong, but what's a few seconds to check eh? -- Cheers, DrT ** Stress - the condition brought about by having to ** resist the temptation to beat the living daylights ** out of someone who richly deserves it. |

I installed SP1 and it was always caused by third party software. Deleting the "missing" C drive and putting a check in the system C drive box will correct the problem. I'm not saying System Restore was not the causative factor in your case. My problems were caused by Acronis True Image and my external drive backup software.
