The sound on my computer has become very choppy and intermittent- especially
when using skype and playing music- when the volume is at all high, the
sound is terrible- I even sent the computer back to Dell, they replaced the
speakers, they say, but it's the same- any suggestions?

Desktop PC or laptop? With laptop,you definitely need a set of external
speakers. With desktop, the quality of the included speakers is generally
poor so it would be a good idea to buy some better speakers.

Assuming sound was ok previously, have you updated any drivers?
