| Home premium 32 bit, SP1 | System : Scheduled Checkpoint Hello everyone, Under "Choose a different restore point" window, there is this entry - System: Scheduled Checkpoint. I'd like to understand more about it. Thank you. |

| | Re: System : Scheduled Checkpoint Hi, There are three manners of initiating restore points: 1) User 2) Update 3) Automatic The third is the type you are looking at, and these are points created daily by the task scheduler as part of Vista's routine maintenance. The second one are points created prior to the installation of an update from the Windows Update site.
