System Restore

Hi All

System restore is not creating automatic restore points.
I am using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1

I do not thing that SP1 is the problem as I have 40GB free space on the
partition that windows is installed on.

That is utter garbage info "leave it on for a couple of days, lol"

System restore creates check point at its own pre-set times. Any others are
created when there are hardware or software changes

Macca,

Be sure Task Scheduler is running, this can cause System Restore to fail.
Check Start_All Programs_Accessories_System Tools_Task Scheduler. Expand the
branch Microsoft/Windows/System Restore then click the Triggers tab. It
should read "Daily--- at 12:00 AM every day" and "At startup---At system
startup"
