Vectorworks 11.5

I use the progam Vectorworks 11.5. (CAD program) It works well on my desk
top which has windows XP pro. I installed it on my new laptop which has
windows vista home premium (pre installed). It worked for a few months and
then stopped working.

It opens using the compatability wizard but I need a more direct route to
open the program. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Vectorworks 11.5

Go to the web page for the software developer and look for available
downloads for new drivers for Vista HP. Your problem is that you need new
drivers.

Re: Vectorworks 11.5

Hi,

Either an update to the program or an update to Vista broke some part of the
functionality. The best source for resolution of this problem is the
software vendor. It may require a patch or update to run properly under
Vista.

Re: Vectorworks 11.5

The problem is, the makers of Vectorworks 11.5 will not make a patch. I think it is up to Microsoft to fix the problem. Vista needs to make sure it will allow older programs to run. It just makes good sense if Microsoft wants to keep their users happy.

Vista has actually made me consider buying a Mac next time I go computer shopping.
