| | Internet Explorer loading issue Hi all, This isn't a big deal but it can be quite irritating. I have a brand new machine with Windows Vista Business running on it. This is the main machine in the study and has a Belkin router connected to it via a cat5 cable. The rest of the PCS/Laptops in the house run from the routers wireless. Everything is set up and internet explorer loads automatically on each machine. However, on this newer machine, when I click on Internet Explorer, it takes around 8-10 seconds to load the homepage, i.e google. On all of the other machines, its pretty much instant. The other machines are running XP/Vista Home and Vista Basic. They all load the webpage instantly. This newer machine takes a while and shows "Connecting" in the tab. I have never experienced this before and wondered what it could be. I have tried making a few changes but it does it every time. Once google has loaded, and i click a new tab, the same happens again, it takes about 10 seconds for a new homepage to load. We have been using the same router in the house for 3 years and i've never seen a machine act like this. Is there something I'm missing? Many thanks, Ben |

| | RE: Internet Explorer loading issue 1. Make sure your router has the latest Firmware. 2. Get latest Drivers for your computer's Network adaptor. 3. On your computer with problems, right-click the Network connection>Properties>unbind TCP/IPv6. It can cause probs with some ISPs. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "Ben Forrister" wrote: Quote: > Hi all, > > This isn't a big deal but it can be quite irritating. > > I have a brand new machine with Windows Vista Business running on it.
