disk drive is stuck thinking the recovery cd is in

i thought it was just not seeing any disks in the drive but now that i have
looked closer it seems that it is thinking that the recovery cd is in the
drive even though it isn't and hasn't been in for a long time, if ever. the
computer says that everything is okay and running perfectly. no viruses.
nothing. its just being wierd. i've put in mulitple cds and dvds and it still
shows the recovery cd.

Re: disk drive is stuck thinking the recovery cd is in

I suggest then that you put the recovery DC in the drive then since you may
have removed it the last time you used it before the program using it had
rebooted for the last time.
Then reboot the system and remove it.
