Hi everyone,
I have been running Vista Ultimate X86 for some time now. Last week I did a format and clean install, installed some of the programs I regularly use, and last night followed some of the steps here on how to Speed up Vista. Today, I have started noticing that loading any program or say opening Control Panel (the icons are loading slowly). I am not sure what the problem is since I have plenty of unused RAM (4GB), Vista Sidebar gadget showing using 1200/33XX and have a Q6600 CPU, nothing unusual about crazy processes or anything.
I do have ESET NOD32 Antivirus, Windows Defender, just ran CCleaner, and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware in my system to keep it free from viruses/spywares. Not sure why the sudden slowing of opening programs/folders, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
