| | Monitor and Computer Won't Sleep I have Windows Vista Home Premium edition, 32 bit. My monitor and computer won't sleep after the designated times (30 minutes and 45 minutes, respectively). I have four other identical machines. Sleep works fine on those. The keyboard and mouse are not wireless. Advanced power settings match the other four machines that sleep fine. Also, if I force sleep mode through START, the machines wakes. I have no known devices that would cause the machine not to sleep. Again, the other four machines I have are identical regarding setup. They have no sleep issue. Any thoughts or ideas? |

| | Re: Monitor and Computer Won't Sleep Nevermind. I discovered the laser light on my wired mouse was pulsing bright every few seconds to a couple of minutes because the mouse was on an uneven surface (oak wood kitchen table). So, for others experiencing screensaver and powersave issues, consider the surface the mouse is on.
