Vista SP1 / 64 bit - is constantly showing 1 pending update. On shutdown it
says installing update 1 of 1. This never goes away - each subsequent
shutdown says the say thing.
Where can I look to see what update is stuck and how to clear it.
Thanks

In the start search box type in windows update. Then click on the program by the name of windows update & it should show you which update is pending.

Look for updates with status unsuccessful.
Search for the KB number at Microsoft Download Center, download the update
and install it manually.

Should you need to uninstall updates, open up Control Panel > Programs >
Uninstall program > View updates. Keep in mind that removing an update may
not always be possible.
