I think it is ok for a beta OS, I have also installed tons of unsupported software and drivers, but my question is, where can I get a list of which driver takes the system down? I want to disable the code or the service that is randomly freezing my machine, but I can’t find any list or message or error log that tells me what just happened. Any ideas? |

| | Re: Random freezes, where can I get the list "why and what driver did it" When once a computer totally freezes, a log entry can no longer be written - therefore you get no record of the event. You are pretty much on your own to begin uninstalling items, one at a time, to see which one is causing the problem. Any device driver can cause this to happen but the major culprits seem to be video drivers and old chipset drivers. -- Regards, Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User (For email, remove the obvious from my address) Quote from George Ankner: If you knew as much as you think you know, You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!
