    Random Sleep Mode

For some reason, my laptop randomly goes into sleep mode. I have no clue why it does this; sometimes it'll do it once, and that'll be it, and other times, it'll go into sleep mode back to back, multiple times. I've had this problem since about a week after I received my laptop (Dell Studio 1735).

I preformed a msconfig, as recommended by the Dell person - that didn't help.
    I re-installed Vista (32bit) - that didn't solve my problem.
I re-installed all the drivers/applications from the disks that I received with my laptop - didn't help.

I haven't done a system restore, because the date that I would ultimately like to reset it to is too far back (about two months) and I don't want to add to my problems by doing so (I heard it's risky?).

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Do you think it's to do with hardware, or do you think it's a problem with Vista itself? Help please!

    Hello Briana,

You might check to see what you have your Power Plan settings set for. This tutorial will help show you how to if needed.

    Hope this helps,
