Okay, today my computer's (Acer desktop) screen became distorted and it froze up, so I rebooted. Same thing happened again, I rebooted, and it happened yet again. This time, I got two options: Start this computer Normally, or Enter Vista Startup Repair (Recommended). I went into the startup Repair and did a system restore. Now, when I boot up the same thing happens again, I go to the System Repair menu, I wait for it to finish, and I get "Vista Startup Repair cannot restart this computer automatically" send this error report to windows (recommended), or restart.
I look in some other threads and found that perhaps when the bootup screen appears to hit Alt-F12, I tried that, now when i start up, there seems to be a loading bar for about 3 seconds, then it goes to the Windows XP loading bar, then the screen goes black. I get that result now whenever I turn my computer on.
Thanks in advance for reading.
