Vista - Windows Image Back-up question

If I have an entire PC backup (windowsimagebackup) from Vista 32bit then use it while running a Vista 64bit will it change the 64 back to a 32?

It will replace the contents of the hard drive with what is imaged in the
backup.
For example if you dual boot both Windows 64 bit version and Windows 32 bit
version and you create a full image backup, in either operating system, then
use the recovery tools to restore a full image backup, you will restore both
versions of Windows.

A full image backup is like a snap shot of your hard drive. After a full
restore, you will have exactly what you had when you created the image.
If you are running Vista 64 bit, it will be replaced with whatever the image
backup contains because it will be overwritten with the backed up image.

Well, there's not really a way to change an OS from 32 to 64 bit that I know
of. I think the only way to change 64 to 32, vice versa, is to go out and
get a new copy of windows. Hope this helps.
