Hi, I have a HP laptop no more than a year old with Vista SP1, it has 4GB, AMD turion X2 and have 32 and 64 bit operations (I don't understand those terms but i am writhing them to help you get an idea of my computer). since thursday i've been having a startup problem it tells me that winload.exe is missing and that i have to run a windows instalation disc to repair the computer. I also try doing a system recovery but EVERYTIME i do it the progress "freezes" when it is 27% complete... I don't have the windows installation disc with me, but don't think my vista is cloned, it was bought at best buy and it already came with it. what can I do about it? I am planning to take my computer to best buy tomorrow and since it still has warranty I am hoping they don't charge me.
* are my documents going to be gone?
* can you tell me where I can burn a disc with this missing application and instal it to my lap?
thanks
