Network & volume icons missing

    Network & volume icons missing

    Vista Home Premium SP1 32 bit
    Network and volume icons disappear from notification area.
    I did right click on Start button > Properties >Notification. Both boxes
    are grayed out.

    Sometimes a simple restart will restore them. If not, then this may be able to help restore them instead.

    Notification Area - System Icons
