| Newbie | BSOD error. please help if anybody would be so kind. Hello. I have been receiving random blue screens and then get restarted. I have tried to read the mini dump file using Windows Debugger 64, but keep getting a error saying "Symbols can not be loaded because symbol path is not initialized. * * * * The Symbol Path can be set by: * * using the _NT_SYMBOL_PATH environment variable. * * using the -y <symbol_path> argument when starting the debugger. * * using .sympath and .sympath+ * ********************************************************************* ********************************************************************* * Symbols can not be loaded because symbol path is not initialized. * * * * The Symbol Path can be set by: * * using the _NT_SYMBOL_PATH environment variable. * * using the -y <symbol_path> argument when starting the debugger. * * using .sympath and .sympath+ * ********************************************************************* Probably caused by : ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+8f421 ) Followup: MachineOwner". I am running Vista 64 Bit Ultimate. The Error below is what I received tonight. I would appreciate any help that anybody would be kind enough to give me. I also would love to learn how to import the proper symbols library so that I can read the mini dump file. I downloaded the reader from Microsoft's website and thought that i downloaded a proper definitions library to interpret the dump files, but am going wrong somewhere. Thanks in advance for the help.
