| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit | Slow USB Transfer Rate. I am a Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit User with 2.5 GB RAM. It was 1GB (512 + 512) originally, and I upgraded one RAM to 2GB recently at 1.60 GHz, with 120GB Harddisk space. I am getting very low USB Transfer speeds. I have searched for this problem over the internet, and I haven't got a single solution that works till now. The details are as follows. USB - Transcend 2.0GB Transfer rate on XP - 10 gbps Transfer rate on Vista Home Premium on another computer - 10gbps Transfer rate on MY COMPUTER - 3 gbps. Transfer rate of another USB Flash drive on my comp - 3gbps I have done the following to upgrade the speed to 3gbps. 1. Optimised performance of the USB Drive, by going to Properties and all. 2. Reinstalled my BIOS, as it was somewhere mentioned that it might cause this problem. 3. Reinstalled (several times) my USB Driver. The problem still persists. What could be the problem? This guy I went to, says it could be a virus. But my Norton, or AVG can't find any virus on my computer. Any suggestions? |
