BOOT Advanced options memory problem

Hello guys.

I have got a problem. Ok basically I bought a whole new computer a while ago. It came with Vista Home edition 64 bit. Now on my old computer with xp I use to play a lot of games, and a game such as "Arma-Armed Assault". Well I found out that Arma can not be played with vista that is over 4 GB of ram. On here I have 8Gigs.

So I found a solution to this problem by going o my system config,Boot, Advanced options. There I had brought my maximum memory from 7936 which was what it came with to 3072 which it is at now. And I applied it, and restarted my comp, and wonderfully my Arma game worked.

Now that I am no longer playing Arma, and have Arma 2. I wanted to bring the maximum memory back up to 7936. But every time I do, and hit ok, it just goes back to 3072. And It can not go any higher.

So my questions, Is this a problem? and how can I bring it back up to the original 7936 memory(if i can).

Thank you.
