| | System restore suddenly fails Have an HP laptop and until recently system restore worked fine but now get this message after restart and am at a loss--??? "System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files Quote: > and settings were not changed. An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. You might try System Restore again and choose a different restore point." I run Kaspersky internet security suite(perviously had AVG)- not sure whether significant- I disable this but get same message. I also run adaware free version- Incidentally I discovered i had this problem with system restore when I was struggling to reinstall adobe shockwave player- Any thoughts on my problem with system restore appreciated- Matt |

| Vista Home Premium SP2 32bit, Windows7x32bit | Re: System restore suddenly fails My system restore broke once and I tried the safe mode method, I haven't had any problem ever since but I have no idea why that happened. I can only assume that it was a minor glitch. |
