    System File Checker

Windows XP has a command function called System File Checker. Does
    Vista have the same thing?

OK, I ran sfc /scannow and a message said I had some corrupt files and
I could view the information by opening C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. I
was denied access - even though I am the administrator. I even gave
myself full access - but was still denied. How can I open this file?
    Thanks.

The message also said sfc was unable to fix all of them.

Copy CBS.log to your desktop. Then open it.
